Let chat change your Govee lights.
Viewers control your Govee lights with channel points: they redeem a reward and type a colour. The integration is included in the free plan.

The reply line is the default and can be rewritten on the Govee page. Colour names are English words.

Before you start
- A Govee API key, requested in the Govee Home app under Profile, Settings.
- A colour-capable Govee light on the same account, listed by the dashboard.
- A channel-point reward, which you create from the Govee page.
Connect a light and test a reward.

Get a Govee API key.
In Govee Home, open Profile, then Settings, then Apply for API Key. Submit the form and check your email for the key, including your spam folder.

Choose a compatible light.
Paste the key on the dashboard’s Govee page and pick a colour-capable light from the list. The key is stored encrypted.

Create the reward.
Create a channel-point reward on the Govee page. Redeem it with blue or #00ccff to test that your light turns on and changes colour.
Colour names and hex codes.

- The reply
- The bot confirms the colour change in chat. Edit the reply on the Govee page.
- Refunds
- Points are refunded automatically if the colour is unrecognised or the light cannot be reached.
- Compatible lights
- Pick a colour-capable light from the device list shown after you add your Govee API key.
Rewards work only while you are live by default. Turn off Live only on the Govee page to allow changes between streams.

Which Govee lights work?
Use a colour-capable light listed on the Govee page after you add your API key. Choose a device from that list before creating its reward.
Can chat control more than one light?
Yes. Create a reward for each light on the Govee page. Viewers choose the light by redeeming its reward.
What if a viewer types a colour the bot doesn't know?
The bot refunds their points and suggests an English colour name such as blue or a hex code such as #00ccff.
Is my Govee key safe?
The key is stored encrypted and is not displayed after you save it. You can remove it from the Govee page at any time.
Is it free?
Yes. The Govee integration is included in the free plan.
