Viewer queue

Know who is playing next.

Use ItsBagelBot as your Twitch viewer queue bot for games with chat. Viewers join the Play Queue, see their position and leave when plans change. You and your moderators call the next player from chat in first-come, first-served order.

Default replies with sample names and numbers. Your saved messages can differ.

Before you start

  • Connect ItsBagelBot to your Twitch channel and enable Play Queue.
  • Have the streamer or a moderator open joins with !queue open.
How it works

Open a line for viewers to play.

  1. Enable Play Queue

Connect your Twitch channel and turn on the Play Queue module. Its commands become available when the module is enabled.

  2. Open the queue

The streamer or a moderator types !queue open. Viewers enter with !join or !queue join and receive a position in the line.

  3. Call the next player

Use !queue next to remove the next viewer from the waiting line and announce their turn. Close new joins with !queue close when you have enough players.

Good to know

Keep a line chat can follow.

First come, first served
Joining places a viewer at the end of the queue. Joining again shows their existing position instead of creating another entry.
View the waiting line
!list shows the first ten waiting players. When more viewers are waiting, the reply includes how many remain beyond that list.
Close joins, keep players
!queue close stops new entries and keeps everyone already waiting. Moderators can continue calling players from the line.
Leave or remove an entry
Viewers step out with !leave. Moderators use !queue remove <user> for one entry or !queue clear to empty the line.

When a raffle is open, !join enters the raffle. Use !queue join to keep the play queue available during giveaways.

FAQ

Setup questions.

How do viewers join the queue?

Once joins are open, type !join or !queue join. The bot replies with the viewer’s position. A repeated join keeps their existing place.

Can viewers leave the waiting line?

Yes. !leave and !queue leave remove the caller’s entry. A moderator can also remove a named viewer with !queue remove <user>.

Does closing the queue delete it?

Closing stops new joins and preserves the line. Use !queue clear if you want to empty it. !queue next can still call waiting players after joins close.

How many players does !list show?

It shows the first ten players and the number of additional viewers waiting. !list, !queuelist and !queue list share a five-second list cooldown.

Can I use giveaways and the queue together?

Yes. While a raffle is open, it takes priority for !join. Ask players to use !queue join and giveaway entrants to use !join.

Give your next viewer game a waiting line.
